Posted By The Stewart Law Firm, PLLC || 16-Jul-2013

A motorcyclist remains in serious condition after he was struck by a white pickup exiting a parking lot. He was flown to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries to his head and torso. Witnesses revealed that he had been traveling westbound in an outside lane when a white pickup that was pulling out of the south entrance of a parking lot hit him.

The motorcyclist laid his bike down and skidded 60 feet before he hit into the left front end of the white pickup. He finally stopped on the eastbound side of the road. The police and fire departments, along with sheriff's deputies and medics quickly responded to the early evening accident. So far, no one has been charged in the car accident.

Nothing further is known about the motorcyclist, and no further information is known about his injuries. Authorities are investigating the accident in an attempt to figure out how it happened or to discover if there was any negligence on the part of the driver of the pickup truck. Although the accident was not a hit and run, the driver of the truck could very well have been distracted.

This motorcyclist, as well as others who have been seriously injured in motor vehicle accidents, have the right to consult with an Austin motorcycle accident lawyer.
